Backups timing out

  • I have recently set up a new E-Commerce site for a client and attempted to set up a backup environment for it. I normally use Updraft Plus, however this particular web site has over 1200 images on it.
    No matter what backup plugin I try, the backup gets to about 75% complete and then goes in to some kind of loop, until it eventually times out after over 15 minutes of so called inactivity. HELP…
    For the purists, the site is running latest version of everything, under PHP v7.2.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    if every backup solution you have tried is timing out and you have already contacted the plugin authors for assistance for the tools you have tried — then contact your webhosting vendor to see if there is something blocking the the process.

    which solutions have you tried?

    Increase PHP “Script Max Execution Time Limit” using ini_set function.
