BackUpWordPress not completing

The daily database backups seem to be working and show up when completed, but the weekly backup including files never completes. It just spins and spins and never completes, and does not show up in the weekly backups window on my site. It shows old backups from over a year ago but that is no use to me. I have seen similar issues posted on the forum two or three years ago but no clear fix that I can understand or perform. Thanks for the help.
