Hello. I recently had a server with BackWPup running fine and moved to a new server. I moved all of the content over via a restore from the latest backup. I changed the server information in WP and did a search in phpMyAdmin for links to the old domain. All updated to new one.

However, when I went to run BackWPup, I just get a blank screen and 0% progress bars. No backups are made. I tried reinstalling a few times.

Any suggestions? Thanks. I have searched extensively, and nothing I came across has helped. Thank you again!

Thank you for replying. I tried running “chmod -R 777” on the entire directory I am using, but to no avail. I also tried changing the temp directory as per instructions on your website. Nothing seems to have worked. Thanks for your help. ??

than test if your server can resolfe himself over the blog domain.
that means ‘ping blogdomain’ form external and ‘ping blogdomain’ directly on the server must give the server ip.

Ah, there are differences! When I try it from my laptop, it resolves to the public IP. When I ping inside SSH, it resolves to the local IP.

What would be the fix for this?

    Thanks again.

add in the server hosts file the server ip and the extranal hostname.
OR u must check the Webserver config IP binding…..
The Server must have acsses to him over the external hostname.

    The same happens to me.
I cannot have telnet access to my host but the previous version worked fine!

I’ve tryed to restore the zip file with the 2.1.7 version but nothing is happened! ??

Can you tell me how to delete all the backwpup info from database? I would try to reinstall the previous version in the meanwhile…

    Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot. I think BackWpUp is the most configurable backup plugin for WP! I’ll wait for good news!

I was able to get it working. I think it was related to having changed domains. Thanks for your help!

I’ve resolved chmodding 755 the backwpup plugin directory.
I think this must be done after every update.

    Now everything works fine!
