BackWPup Jobs run forever / do not finish

  • Hi everybody & hi Daniel,

    thanks for the plugin. It seem to be a great help.
    However, I can’t use it (yet).

    I’ve created two jobs, one for the database and one for some uploaded&gallery files. Both job can be configured successfully (cron-job, backup to server, backup to dropbox).

    But when I start one of the job, it won’t finish.
    The estimated filesize of the files-backup is about 700MB (galleries as I said…) and the database-backup is rather small.

    None of the job is able to finish: Example Database-Job stops here:

    Excluding the quite big wp_statpress works fine, but I need that clumpsy database backed up anyway. For the files I don’t have any clue at all. The jobs run for thousands of seconds without any more hints.
    My Hoster is all-inkl.

    Can you help me please?

    Hi Daniel,

    thanks for your support. I’ve you need any more information let me know.

    I was able to get 2.1.2 working only by deactivating and reactivating about a dozen websites. An additional four websites continued to hang up during the backup process regardless of what I tried. So, I went into Cpanel File Manager and deleted 2.1.2 on the four websites and uploaded 2.0.3. All four of them completed the backup with no problems.

    Hi Daniel,

    I saw the last update’s change log and its included performance improvements. Unfortunately the problem still exists. The log widget on the dashboard shows the job run was OK. Nevertheless it didn’t. It stopped at the same position and no backup files were created.

    Can you or somebody confirm the problem?
