• After a recent upgrade to the latest version of BackWPUp, I can no longer see the menu for the plugin under the Network Admin section of my side. I am logged in as a super admin. I tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin, but that did not help. I looked for BackWPUp role in my user profile and am not seeing that section.

At least backups are still running, but I would like to make some changes to my job and I cannot access the interface.

I hope this helps figure out why this disappeared for me.

  • Same here, but not all installations:
    WordPress 4.2.2 / BackWPup 3.1.4 / 32bit / DF.eu as Host didn’t work.

    WordPress 4.2.2 / BackWPup 3.1.4 / PHP 5.4.41 / 32bit OS Hosteurope.de as Host fine
    WordPress 4.2.2 / BackWPup 3.1.4 / PHP 5.3.3 / 64Bit OS 1und1 Host fine

different plugins checkt and no positive results.

Please go to your Profile and look For BAckWPup rights setting. Set it to BackWPup Admin.

    Thank you for your hint.
    Works for me.

As I mentioned, I tried finding the BackWPUp rights section under the Profile but it does not appear. Here is a screenshot of my profile page:

What could prevent that configuration field from appearing?

Try it in the main site.

I see. That might be part of the issue. I changed the site that was assigned as the main site on the network a few months back. Now, if I go under what used to be the main site, I see the extra settings in my profile and I can see the BackWPUp menu in the admin bar. That being said, when I try to access the configuration panel, I get a message saying:

“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

Perhaps I should remove all entries in the options table of the database relating to BackWPUp, if it remembers somewhere the site that used to be the main site.

If I should investigate cleaning up options, can you point me in the right direction of specific options to remove? Thanks.

Taht isent a options Problem of BackWPup! That cames from not correctly settet rights. Did you have a user rights Plugin installed? You can set Rights with a Plugin like “User Role Editor”.
