Hello, I am using backwpup to backup a client website (WordPress, using the Divi theme). It’s is a small brochure site with not too many plugins. Everything is up to date but my backup takes 45min and the backup file is only 135mb. Any ideas on how to speed this up?
    Thank you in advance, Lisa

    hello @azuredesigns
I think this caused because of the server’s performance when use Zip archive, pls try with Tar instead

Thank you for getting back to me. I used Tar instead which was much quicker (only 16min) however still slow compared to all the other sites I backup. I use backwpup on all my clients websites.
Would it be correct that the Tar file is larger (240mb) than the zip file (135mb)?

    Hello @azuredesigns
Yes, zip archive have a better compression ratio but require more server resource while Tar use much lesser server resource but does not have a good compression ratio as zip ^^
