bad coding

  • changing events or event slug result in 404 page, this issue still from 2015 up today. Slugs are not clear and documentation is worst. cannot change slug. Do not understand and do not find an explanation for slugs event, events, tc-events…

    Hi @chicho1969—sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

    I wonder if you could elaborate on the problem you are facing as I don’t seem to see the same thing. If for example I start with a published event with the slug /test-event/ and I subsequently change this to /alternative-slug/, I can still successfully navigate there by using the old slug.

    The magic here is actually provided by WordPress itself, which records changes to the slugs and takes care of handling redirects (so this is true of all post types—not just events).

    Is this not working for you or am I misunderstanding the problem? We’d love to help either way: perhaps you could begin with a new topic in the community forums (or if you are a paying customer you could create a ticket on our official help desk instead).
