After a while company removes templates to force you to buy the latest ones never use
~and all current templates get broken and data lost

Hi I’m sorry for your experience. I assure you that is not the case.
In Fall 2016 I retired a few first-gen templates because of issues concerning responsive design and also to decrease overall plugin size and improve quality of experience to newcomers. Messages were posted inside the plugin for a year where we told users how to recover the templates and we’ve a published post about this too:
