I do respect your feeling that it’s bad to have a negative rating on something that you have worked hard for may be a long time I hope. But also consider from an user point of view, that when you download a plugin based on other users recommendation and words from the developer for a particular reason and the plugin cannot do that sole job, how that user is going to feel.
It is obviously a fault in my part that I marked it as a bad plugin without giving a detailed reason. Let me explain it so that you may take further steps to make it better. I am developing a site for a teacher who records online video tutorials for his students. Till date he used to upload it to youtube and share it. Obviously it was not a philanthropic act – he used to take fees for the videos. You know very well that youtube videos can easily be downloaded even by a novice now-a-days. So I created the pages with right click disable original plugin which used to protect everything on the page except videos. These videos are embedded using iframe. I was searching for plugins / other methods to protect the videos against downloading. When I installed & activated your plugin, unfortunately it did not protect even a single object on the pages. Right click was working normally and each & every item can be selected / copied from the pages without any problem. At this point, I tried to find out the configuration / setting page which was not there.
One more thing I want to mention that the message you send me through Quora contains the following:
I feel that your review is based entirely on your own personal “likes”. It doesn’t explain why this is justifiable for a bad review.
Don’t you think whoever is giving any review good or bad or ugly, it is always based upon personal “likes”? Can you justify anyone’s feeling by any logic?
However, my teacher’s project is still not yet complete. So if you can improvise your plugin to protect videos from being copied, I will be the first person to give it a 10 star. Wish you best of luck.
