• Hi there,

Can anyone tell me why it is that this message comes up when a post is published.

    “Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

I had tried accessing a particular post through the ‘search’ on the blog site, and although the title and first few sentences came up, when I clicked to read further, I got the above message.

I then ‘trashed’ that post and made an entirely new post. When I published it, it seemed to be fine, but when I clicked the ‘view post’ which comes up after ‘publishing it, I got the ‘Bad request…message again.

This has happened to me before and as far as I know I am not doing anything different. Sometimes it’s there, mostly not.

    With thanks

  • This could be a permissions problem – check with your host.

Thank you. I’ll get onto that now. If it’s wordpress, my host site invariably tell me to bring the problem here. This time I did that first. It’ll be interesting to hear their reply.

I might be wrong but its worth a try.

I contacted them and they are working on the problem. I’ll be back on this board if they tell me it’s a wordpress issue!

    thanks for your help.
