    Updating the plugin to specific version in a local environment is super bad, especially when we have the premium installed. Also, it always update to the latest version, regardless to the wordpress compatibility. It may break your website or become useless if incompatible to the current installed wordpress version. Even if you paid money for that. I don’t recommend having it.

    We are sorry to hear about the difficulties you are having with Yoast SEO Premium on your local installation. 

    You can turn off the automatic update in your WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > click on ‘Disable auto-updates’ in Yoast SEO and the same setting will be applied on the Premium plugin.
