Bad URL in page source code

I noticed a problem with this plugin. I ran a link checker and it pointed a URL that was returning HTTP error 403 forbidden.
https://domain.com/wp-content/plugins/hotspots/php/controllers/?ver=3.5.1
Why is the plugin trying to access to controllers folder without an actual specific php file inside? I think something is missing. There are only two files in that folder, frontend-controller.php and admin-controller.php. For some reason that filename is not getting tacked on to the end of the URL.
