• When selecting Media Library Plus, receive this message, “Bad URLs were found in the Media Library,” along with a list of URLs.

The “Fix Bad Links” button at the bottom of the page doesn’t respond when clicking it.

    Thanks Lee.

I think the issue is these problem items in the list are not URLs. They are paths to the files on the server and not items that can be linked to. Media Library Plus is not expecting these so I see about coming up with solution.

Meanwhile if you wish you can try using an older version of MLP, probably version 3.0.9 or what ever you used before updating. You can download and install an older version from this page, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/media-library-plus/developers/.

Alan, I’ve tried resetting it and also installing an older version. The reset didn’t work and the install failed because the Media Plus folder already exists.

If I delete the Media Plus plugin will I lose all the folders? While it also delete the files from within the media library?

    Thanks

I have been working on your issue and maybe I will have a fix for you tomorrow.

If you delete the plugin that will not remove your images or folders on that site. They will still be in your media library.

    Hi,
I believe I’m having the same problem. It appears that the url’s are all directing to localhost whereas the site is now live at https://www.testzone.debbietomkies.co.uk. When I click fix bad url’s nothing happens and I don’t know how to correct them otherwise.

An example file is: 141: https://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/acidDyePots01n-1.jpg

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

You probably should use the Better Search and Replace plugin.

But before using Better Search and Replace you can use our diagnostic pages to see the condition of your file paths. Just activate the Media Library Plus Reset plugin and the click on Media Library Plus Reset-> Display Attachment URLs and Media Library Plus Reset->Display folder data.

When running Better Search and Replace please backup your database first. Then when you run it check the option to update ‘guid’ fields and uncheck the dry run option.

After running Better Search and Replace, deactivate Media Library Plus, activate Media Library Plus Reset and run Reset Database (this does not change any files on your servers or attachments records in the database. It only removes data added and used by Media Library Plus). Then reactivate Media Library Plus and go to the Media Library Plus page. Your media library will be rescanned and it should display the page with no problems
