The Google rating badge has started to appear on the right bottom corner of my page blocking a chat window.

I have tried ticking hide badge and move badge to the left and side and even deactivating the plugin but I cant seem to get it to go away.

The badge was previously hidden and I have not changed any seetings. Did this occur due to a plugon update?

Please help me remove the plugin as currently i dont need it active.

    Thanks

It sounds like you have caching enabled on your site. If you clear the cache after changing the position of the badge, then you should see it.

Ok but i dont get why the badge would start appearing as in the settings for your plugin it was set to not show and I hadnt changed anything when the badge started to appear.

I have tried clearing caches etc but it is still visable.

Could you please check Vitalherbs.co.uk and tell me if you see the badge.

    Thanks

Yes, I’m seeing the badge in the bottom right corner. You might have some other caching happening. I’m seeing 2 gzip.php files loading a JS and a CSS coming from /wp-content/themes/yoo_salt_wp/cache/

Maybe your theme has caching as well?

Yeah it does have Gzip etc I have tried turning it off, clearing everything else but its still here!

I even tried deactivating your plugin deting it etc but it is still showing. Any ideas?

    Need some help ??

I found the culprit. You have RocketLoader enabled on your Cloudflare account. Disable that.

Can you please help me. When initially installing your plugin the badge would not show, which I have attributed to cache, but now even when removing the plugin all together the badge will not go away. You can check this out at the link https://www.x2industries.com
Please help as it is hovering over important elements and I cannot remove.

It looks like your website is down at the moment, but it sounds like it’s still going to be some caching that’s causing it to stick around. You need to clear the cache.

Yes, it’s back up now.. we are just wrapping up a few things. Unfortunately it is still there and the plugin has been disabled and completely removed, so I am unsure why this is happening can you give me any ideas?

    Thank you,

Hi, I looked at your site’s source and found that the code that makes the badge appear is not coming from my plugin.

You must have implemented the code manually or used a separate plugin for it.

See this screenshot that shows the plugin code vs your site’s source. Notice your site doesn’t have the BEGIN and END comments wrapping the code, and it’s missing the “position” parameter which my code always includes.

Thank you for your help, you were correct I had copied and pasted it into a html widget section in the footer.. You were a great help even thought it was my fault.. ??
