BadgeOS 3.0 – Major Update

    ?This is a major release of BadgeOS in which we have added separate point type options so that you can create multiple point types to award/deduct points. We have also added ranks in this version so you can awards ranks to your users on completing the events.

    ?We strongly recommend you to update below add-ons too as older versions of these add-ons won’t work with this major release.
    ?* BadgeOS Interactive Progress Map

    * BadgeOS Reports add-on
    * BadgeOS Community add-on
    * BadgeOS LearnDash

    ?After updating the plugin to 3.2, You will need to update the users earning and achievements. Follow the steps below to update them.

    Note: please clear the cache of the site before updating the users earning and existing achievements.
    ?
    Update users earned achievements and points:
    – Update the BadgeOS to 3.1 or greater
    – Go to Dashboard -> BadgeOS -> Point Type
    – Create a new point type (if not created already)
    – Go to Dashboard -> BadgeOS -> Settings
    – Select the default point type and click on save settings button
    – Click on the “Upgrade 3.0 DB” button
    ?
    Update existing achievements:
    – Update the BadgeOS to 3.2 or greater
    – Go to Dashboard -> BadgeOS -> Point Type
    – Create a new point type (if not created already)
    – Go to Dashboard -> BadgeOS -> Settings
    – Select the default point type and click on save settings button
    – Click on the “Upgrade Achievements” button

    Just installed plug-in, created a point type, everything else and clicked the Please click here to update Badgeos achivements from meta to data button – and it will not go away.

    I’ve tried the importing the stack, point, so on.. same issue – is comes up every time on go to the back-end.

    Running the latest WP,PHP Version:7.4.1, MySQL Version: 5.7.25

    Hi @volion,

    We had added new tables in BadgeOS plugin to store BadgeOS earned points/ranks/achievement so those buttons are to update db and achievements for the users who were using previous version of BadgeOS and have earned points/achievement in user-meta so that they can move their achievements to new tables. Users will need to update the DB and achievements data just after upgrading the plugin to 3.2 or greater only if they have achievements in user-meta. If you are a new member of BadgeOS family then you can simply ignore that menu or hide.

    I have currently updated to BadgeOS 3.5.1
    Wordpress is on 5.4.1

    I am facing an issue while upgrading data. I am facing error code 500 during this upgrade.
    I have followed the above steps but am still not able to get the issue resolved.

    I am also facing an issue with upgrading I have followed all steps and still never received an email after upgrading DB to 3.0. All user point totals drop to 0 as seen on their profile page. Any approved achievements drop the user total on the leaderboard to zero as well.
