Thanks for reaching out about your webmaster verification code. To add your website to Baidu, you need a Baidu account. You can register the account with a phone number.

Both of those articles are hopefully out of date now that Baidu has changed it’s webmaster policies.

I’ve got an account as mentioned above, but to get into the webmasters section and submit a website, you now need a be a member of both QQ and We-Chat.

No @maybellyne – both apps are chat apps, and both are in Chinese.

Baidu sets the requirements for adding a website to their Webmaster Tool, not Yoast SEO. If you don’t meet their requirements (such as a Chinese phone number.), unfortunately, there’s no way around it.
