Bait and Switch

  • I installed the plugin and created a shortcode. Coming back later to revise the value of the shortcode, I learned that you cannot change an existing shortcode or add a new one unless you purchase the “premium” edition. This is blatant bait and switch and would be illegal under US law.

    Hi Ed,

    Slightly confused. You should still be able to edit the value? You may not be able to use the fancier Ajax inline version, but you can click through to the larger edit screen.

    I also feel, ￡5 a year isn’t an excessive cost for the Premium version. Of course, there is always the option of uninstalling the plugin and copying and pasting the relevant value throughout your site!
