Ban-User-List empty, but log is full

  • Hi,
    I am using the standard edition of iT Theme Security (latest version).
    I have activated the 404-detection and the brute-force settings.
    The logs are getting filled (even from the same IP) but the Banner-User list (settings->user-ban card) is empty. There are two textareas
    – ban-users[host_list]
    – ban-users[agent_list]
    and both are empty.
    Why is that?

  • The ban-users[agent_list] textarea is not automatically populated. By default it’s empty unless you have entered things manually.

    However the ban-users[host_list] textarea is automatically populated with (client/visitors) IPs IF all required settings/modules are enabled AND visitors of the site actually get banned. Use the plugin Logs page to get details about ban events.

    To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes.
