• I’d like to use WordPress not to make a blog, but for example a page with reviews. Therefor I would like to be able to have a ‘split’ subject line, such as “band”, “title of album”, “year of release”, “label”, so that when a visitor clicks on the bandname, (s)he gets all reviews of that band or when (s)he clicks on the label, every review of that label is shown. Is this possible? Do I need some kind of plugin, another theme (I use classic) or something?

  • Couldn’t you just have different Categories for each band and each label. Then when you do a review designate both the correct ‘band’ category and the correct ‘label’ category?

Possible, but that looks a bit silly. The “subject line” will be “Michael Jackson – Bad – 1980 – sony” and the next line “posted by, etc.” and “filed under Michael Jackson 1980 sony”……

Well you control how the information for each post is presented. For instance your theme’s index.php file can display the title, the content, and the categories. Guess you could change it so it doesn’t display the title.

I’m not too keen on using the catagories for this, because I will have countless of catagories then, one for each band, one for each label and then the catagories that I DO want to use (musical style). One WordPress site has found a workable alternative. When you click on the title of a review, the page emerges where people can comment and in the right sidebar there is not only the a-b-c- archive (that I’m also working on), but also a “artist” and “label” search options. Not completely what I want, but if I could make that, it would be better than nothing at all. I suppose this is made with a plugin, but which one?

Wonder if you should look at Ultimate Tag Warrior?
