Bandcamp embed don’t work anymore

    Hi there,

    I was very happy with Bandcamp x wordpress.com embeds on my website i use on my self hosted website. For some many years, the shortcodes works really fine but since a couple of month, the normal player (not the one with tracklist) just disapears on my pages/posts.

    Can you investigate to fix this.

    To test : go to any album page on bandcamp.com
    Click on share/integrate and choose the medium player visual.
    Under the embed code, choose wordpress.com to get the shortcode and copy paste it on your article.

    Hi there,

    I tested it using the latest version of both WordPress and Jetpack and the Bandcamp player is displayed correctly.

    Can you please check if the Compose using shortcodes to embed media from popular sites option under Jetpack > Writing > Composing is turned on?

    Hi Fotis,

    It works fine for full album (player with tracklist) but not for medium player without tracklist.

    Can you try this one for exemple that don’t appears on my website :
    [bandcamp width=100% height=120 album=476054427 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=333333 tracklist=false artwork=small track=2166260746]

    I tested that shortcode and it embeds correctly. If you’re using the new Block editor make sure to paste the code inside the Shortcode block.

    Other than that make sure that you’re using the latest version of both WordPress and Jetpack. If the issue persists, then try temporarily deactivating all your plugins and check if it gets fixed. If it works, then reactivate each plugin one-by-one to find out which one is causing problems.

    Hi,

    I test the html embed and it works fine but not the wordpress shortcode. So I think there’s a problem with the standard player.
    I use the old editor without the block system on this website.

    Can you investigate to find why it don’t work now? Everything was really fine months ago.
    I’ve disabled all the plugins, exception made for Jetpack and the problem is not coming from there.
    I have the same problem on others website i test.

    For precision, the shortcode for the player with playlist works fine.

    Can you provide a link to your site so we can check if we see anything wrong there that might be causing this?

    Please make sure you have the Shortcode Embeds feature activated in Jetpack’s settings:
