Banner Ad – Shortcoder not working it

Hi!
I installed Shortcoder, even though it’s “not been tested with my version.” Well, it didn’t work. I still can’t get the banner ad to show up. But I may not be doing it right – I paste the script and Shortcoder automatically changes it to a shortcode? Right?
If Shortcoder’s old version is the problem … Any other ideas?
