• G’Day,
I am intersted in putting a 234×60 ( half banner ) in the header, I would like it RIGHT aligned and evenly spaced in the 105 pixel height header and about 10 pixels from the right hand side. However, I do not want it to mess with the location of the header text.
If someone can please let me know how to do this.. the code additions and changes. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
You can view the upcoming blog here – https://www.gravityworks.us/a.wpblog/ ( please excuse the look as I am probably working on it. )
    Kind regards,
    Stephen

When I say someone elses mess. I mean the creator of the skin, not you guys.

Well I think we need to point out that the skin only contains CSS and it was working fine for everybody until you got started with it. A beautiful skin. Calling it a mess is inappropriate IMHO. I sure you didn’t mean it.

Is it normally the case to have to explain what you mean on this forum. If I did not think the skin was nice I would not have tried for 2 days to get it to work.
What I am saying is that the code really was not up to par.. It might have worked, but it could have been done better.. I do love the skin. It is excellent and I am sure the guy whom wrote it is nice as well.
I was just commenting on the code itself.. I could be better.
I guess I will never get a response on my other questions I left.. I gather that out of all the people on this board no one knows not even the writers of WordPress how to change those things.. and what to add to the RSS php files..
Takes an awful long time to get a response around here on things.. I know the forum is here as a privledge, but some of us want to get things done and the answers are staggered everywhere..
So can someone PLEASE get an amswer for me. I mean if you guys do not know . who should I ask?

How can the *code* in a bit of CSS be a mess?

Help may sometimes arrive late, but please bear in mind that no one is under obligation to help you, or anyone else. Alright, what I said now sounds a little too sharp, so forgive me if it is too harsh, but in general, asking a question with more details, and with a sufficient explanation of the background, and the things that you have already tried can be very useful in getting a quick response. Support forums such as this one here work both ways, you get about as much as you give.
Hope my answer on the other thread of yours is satisfactory. ??

I was talking about the alignment of the code in the index page where divs start and end.. the indentation of the code.. basically it was a mess ” as in everything was just strung together and well.. not cleanly done. “
I prefer things in an order so the person after me can easily make there way throught he pages and know where things start and end. Comments are a good thing.
    Just something I prefer.

    https://wiki.www.ads-software.com/Templates%20or%20Themes%20List
    has a link to
    https://weblogtoolscollection.com/b2-img/index.phps
which is a commented index.php for wordpress. That’s mighty useful, too.

Well the index page has got nothing to do with the css *skin*. The index page is part of WordPress. Comments are really nice. They are also unsemantic, eat bandwidth, and are completely uneccessary for people who can read basic html.
The fully commented variants are available on the site of Nuclear Moose and podz who in their own time kindly marked them up, contributed them to the community and now bear the costs of hosting them. As far as I am aware indentation can follow one of a number of different conventions. Most people have no trouble reading it or adapting it if necessary. The Wp index file only has two positioned divs. Not much problem there then.
