• Hello,

I would like to have a banner similar to the Demo one. I have followed the instructions, but the banner image does not cover the full length and width of the banner area as the instructions indicate it should. I can see a black border above the image and a big black space to the right of the image. This happens when I look at my page on my laptop. It doesn’t happen when I bring up the site on my iPhone or tablet.

I’ve tried the image size given in the instructions; I’ve used 1.5 times the width suggested, and I’ve used double the width indicated in the instructions. I have also adjusted the boxed width of the site. Nothing helps. I still see the image covering about 2/3 of the space it should cover (from left to right) but it still doesn’t cover the whole width. There is black above and to the right of it.

Ah, I also even used the exact code found on the instructions page, but the same thing happens. Image is still not full width, and there is black above and to its right.

Please let me know what I need to do to adjust my banner so that the picture completely covers the area on all device screens.

My browser is Safari, my OS is Sierra.

Here is the website I am trying to use this banner with: https://www.artisanoflight.com

could you try disabling Jetpack’s Photon module.
Jetpack / Settings / Media – “Speed up images and photos”

please turn that off and let me know if it helped.

That helps with the image becoming the whole width of the screen now.

However, there is still a black stripe above the image. Why is that and how can it be solved?

    Thanks,
    Adriana

    hi Adriana,

Looks like you have resolved the issue, I no longer see black stripe around the banner.

    Hello Imre,

    Yes! I found a solution ??

I simply changed the background color for that banner so it would not show black, but the color of my image.

Thank you for your support and for double checking on this.

    Regards,
    Adriana
