    Hi guys,

I have been using Complianz successfully for a while now.
But recently I have very confusing problems. The cookie banner is not displayed anymore on newer installations.
It is in the HTML code but set to display: none and if I manually set it to display: block it doesn’t have any styles.

I always have the same setup (Avada Theme, some small plugins, Complianz). Two weeks ago it still worked fine on a new website. Now on another completely new website I have the problem described above.

The only difference I can see is version 6.3.2 vs 6.3.1 for Complianz. Avada is the same version on both websites and the other plugins shouldn’t interfere. Server is the same. Permissions are the same.

I tried a rollback to version 6.3.1 but that didn’t help either.

Have you encountered this problem before?

    Regards,
    Sara

    Hello @larvafashion,

Since the banner appears on my end, I’d expect this to be related to the Complianz Wizard setting “Do you want to Respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings in browsers”.

The plugin will ask you if you want to respect Do Not Track signals (General > Security & Consent > “Respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control”), if you set it to Yes and Complianz then detects such a signal from your browser (which many browsers send by default these days), the banner won’t be displayed as your cookie preferences are automatically set to “deny”.

Disabling the aforementioned setting in the Complianz Wizard, or stopping your browser from sending a Do Not Track signal should solve the issue.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi Jarno,

Thank you, you are the best! That’s exactly what I did.

Usually that’s a great setting, but for one website I need the cookie banner displayed no matter what.

    Regards,
    Sara
