Hi – I have a feeling the issue might be with the theme (Acabado). I’ve spent the past 2 hours following the instructions, clearing cache, turning various other plugin settings off and on, (clearing cache over and over), and reading other threads in the forum.

This is the 3rd notification bar plugin I’m trying, so I think it’s the theme. Before I give up entirely, thought I’d try reaching out to see if you can confirm that or if there’s something else I can try.

My theme and plugins are all updated to the latest versions. I’m testing in Google Chrome regular and incognito as well as Safari, both on desktop (Mac latest Ventura OS) and mobile (iPhone latest OS).

I’m able to see the banner in the back end when I create it, it’s just not showing publicly.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Hey

So the issue currently is that the Simple Banner JS file is not loading on your page, and that JS is what creates the banner. You can see this yourself if you open the Developer Tools and go to the Sources Tab:

    > top
      > www.lysinearginineguide.com
        > wp-content
          > plugins/simple-banner
            > simple-banner.css?ver=2.17.0

You should also see a simple-banner.js?ver=2.17.0 file here. This is likely due to a speed, optimization, or caching plugin you have. You should look through your plugins to see which one is bundling javascript, and then try to deny Simple Banner from that. Let me know how that goes!
