Banner not showing up with Autoptimize and Cloudflare

    Hello,

    Thank you for great plugin. I am using it on few my websites, but on one of them I have some problems. Banner not showing up.

    If I disable “Optimize JavaScript Code?” in Autoptimize plugin, banner will show up, but cookies are used even without consent. If I enable “Optimize JavaScript Code?” in Autoptimize plugin, no banner and cookies are also used.

    Website is cached in Cloudflare, so I think this can be reason why cookies are loaded before consent?
    (in Autoptimize JS settings I have excluded complianz.min.js, complianz.js and migrate.min.js).

    All settings in your plugin I have same like on other websites where everything works perfectly (but without JS autoptimize and without Cloudflare caching)

    PS: Before updating to 6.xx I think everything worked on this autoptimize and cloudflare webssite. But I am not 100% sure with that :/

    Hi @rodeista,

    Because https://receptypanicuby.cz/?ao_noptimize=1 is working I think we need to have a look at Autoptimize.

    The only way I can break it is using: Force JavaScript in <head>?

    While not excluding it properly. Please double-check if you didn’t miss a ‘,’ comma, or entered complianz.js correctly.

    Thank you Aert for fast reply. Unfortunately – on https://receptypanicuby.cz/?ao_noptimize=1 you can see banner, but cookies are used without consent ?? I think there is 1 problem with Autoptimize and second one with Cloudflare.

    “Force JavaScript in <head>?” I had disabled, now it is enabled and it looks Autoptimize problem was fixed. But still, cookies are used before consent click

    Let’s start with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Did you enable one of these in Complianz?

    Ou yeah, thank you – thats the problem – I am using Google tag manager on this website :/ What I have to do to work with this setup?

    Hi @rodeista

    I expect the issue to be the “Firing Triggers” that are currently configured for these tags (such as Analytics) in Tag Manager.

    Please refer to section 3.1 and 3.2 in our Tag Manager configuration guide.

    This guide explains how to set-up “custom events” in Tag Manager, which correspond to the cookie categories in the Cookie Banner.

    Assigning these custom events as the Firing Trigger of your Analytics tag (cmplz_event_statistics, for example) will result in the Analytics tag only being fired when the visitor consents to the Statistics category.
