The banner plugin was working fine, suddenly started to show only the word “undefined”. Nothing has been changed or updated on the website

That’s great. This is the biggest update I’ve had in a while, so I appreciate everyone’s patience and help!

Hi, thanks. It’s working on most devices normally now, purely from a bug fix perpective I still see undefined on some mobile (android) devices if you still want to have a look at it.

Still showing undefined on Android and all cache cleared. Help!!

    Hi @ambitiousdesign

Clearing your server side JavaScript cache will fix the issue. If that doesn’t work then clear the browser cache on your android phone. The undefined banner is due to the client running the 2.17.x version of the banner JavaScript, but with a data structure for the 3.0.x banner. Simple Banner attaches a version number to its JavaScript file in order to prevent this caching. But if you use an optimization plugins, this often bundles together plugin JavaScript and removes that version number.

    Nevermind

What is the name of the java script – I think it needs to be added to exclusion list on WP-Rocket?

    Hi @peakart
The simple banner javascript exists at /wp-content/plugins/simple-banner/simple-banner.js
