As a longtime user of Elementor, I have a problem I’ve never encountered before.

The background image of the banner section refuses to display on tablets.

It is a two column layout with a CTA box on one side. Somehow a thin slice of the background appears below the CTA box.

This layout appears ok in the Elementor preview and in Developer tools, but not when I load it into Multi Device Website Mockup, which is how I show my work.

Nor does it appear correctly when I check it on various tablets in the Best Buy store.

I have played with the breakpoints and they don’t seem to matter.

The section is set at Full Width, Height of 643px, Column Position strectched, Overflow hidden, Section Stretched.

    Please help!

  • Hi,

To troubleshoot the issue please try this guideline:
Make sure you are using the most updated versions of Elementor, WordPress & your theme. Sometimes it isn’t apparent that there is an update available. Go to Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to be sure. (Make sure to back up your site).

Regenerate the CSS via Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS on your WordPress Dashboard.
Go to Elementor > Settings on your WordPress dashboard. Click the Advanced tab and then switch the CSS print method to Internal embedding.
Clear all cache: your browser’s cache, other plugins’ cache, server cache (if possible).

If the issue persists, deactivate all plugins apart from Elementor. If this helps, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.
If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Sixteen and see if it makes any difference.

From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Elementor > Settings > Experiments. Change all of the experiments to Inactive. Click Save Changes.
Check the issue from a different browser or incognito mode to rule out the possibility of browser addon conflict.

    Hi guys-

Thanks for the suggestions but none of it has worked. If you have any other suggestions I would love to read them.
