• My banners are not showing up on the category pages. No problem with the home page or on the posts, but category pages only show the code of the banner.
    my site is https://www.salesd.com

Help, How can I get it it right as it does not look well.

  • Try editing category.php in your theme and replacing the_excerpt() with the_content().

Hi Esmi, where do I get the category.php file. There is not a file by that name either in the editor on WP or on my hosting in the file manager > themes
Could it be under a different name or am I gone blind.

    Thanks

Can any one tell me where do I find the category.php file
    I can not see it.

wordpress has a template hierarchy, so when one file does not exist, it takes the one further down the line. if you don’t have a ‘category.php’, wordpress will use ‘archive.php’. try to make your changes in this file.

I must be going to the wrong place, I can not see archive.php file, either.
This is the way I am doing.
    File manager > wp-content > themes > name of theme I am using >

and I can not see the two files mentioned.

Am I going it the right way.

try and look into ‘admin’ ‘appearance’ ‘atahualpa theme options’ ‘posts or excerpts’ ‘.. on CATEGORY pages’ —-
if the setting is on ‘only excerpt’ change it to ‘full post’
