• Is there a way to ban a certain person from making a comment without completely shutting down the entire comments section? I searched the support forums and was unable to find a relevant post. Thank you in advance.

Nevermind. It was called a blacklist and I found it in the hacks section. Sorry for the post.

The Blacklist should not be in the hacks section, it should be in Options/Discussions? Are you using v1.2.1? If not, you should update.

Macmanx, I have not updated as I didn’t see a need to. There didn’t seem to be many options that I felt would be useful over what 1.2 currently has. I will check it out again though.
    Thank you for your tip.

1.2.1 has many security updates, I highly suggest you download it. The devs kept it quite because they didn’t want an epidemic of hackers breaking out. It’s an easy update. Just follow the instructions and don’t replace any modified files.

Thanks for this thread. One of my blogs just got hit with 80 casino comments. What a PITA! I used the mass edit thing to delete them all quickly, then copied the common spam words into the comments moderation box. I’m hoping this slows the spammers down a bit.
