I’m not sure if I fully understood what your client needs.

Do they mean creating the product by scanning the barcode?

If so, I don’t see how this would be possible. As far as I know, the barcode should only identify an existing product, not have the details about the products specifically.

Ideally, the path would be to import the products from an existing system.

Please share more details, so we would be happy to see alternatives for you and your client. ??

By checking the system report I am unable to find a plugin related to barcodes. It means it is a feature not implemented yet on your site, please correct me if I am wrog.

It will allow you to manage the barcodes, also you can add products and scan the barcode in this process.
