Bar didn’t show up!

  • I’m sure this is a great plugin, no doubt about that. I’m using the OceanWP Theme and I did see that it had this message in the customizer – NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE BAR ON YOUR SITE YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR THEME TO INCLUDE THE WORDPRESS CORE “WP_BODY_OPEN” ACTION HOOK REQUIRED SINCE WORDPRESS 5.2.0.

    The problem is, I don’t have control over what’s included in the code of my theme. Nor do I have time to figure it out. My theme updated not too long ago so I can’t imagine the theme not being compatible, however the bar would not show up whatsoever so due to that, I can’t rate this plugin as well as I wish I could, because I know WpExplorer is a reputable name.

    Hi,

    Definitely sounds like the theme is outdated and missing this new hook (I just downloaded it to confirm and yes the theme isn’t updated). Giving the plugin a negative rating for a theme issue isn’t really fair. A better option would have been to open a forum topic and ask for help so that I can show you how to properly update your theme and/or contact the original theme developer to let them know their item is outdated.

    I would kindly request you reconsider your rating and I hope you had a fantastic holiday season and good start to 2020!

    ps: I actually do not recommend OceanWP since most of the code was originally stolen from my premium Total theme and the people who distribute it don’t know much about coding (that’s why they use other people’s code).
