Hi there, as wait the app we want to currently copy all barcodes from the ATUM barcode field into the standard WooCommerce barcode field so that our picking app is able to read the barcodes but we can use ATUM to do everything still. How can we achieve this ?

    Hi @rawald ,

Thank YOU very much for your post.

Have you added all the codes in manually? We do not have any tool in place to either import or export barcodes to/from the ATUM barcode field. The field was introduced so users can start slowly adding codes in before the app launch, not the other way round.

Yeah we added everything but the app’s delay has forced us to now utilise something to get the scanning done since we spent the time to add the barcodes in 15000+ items so now instead of spending time we want anything that can copy from one field tp another field thought if we knew the database updates occurring when atum updates a barcode we could maybe run a trigger to update the woo barcode field ?

    Hi @rawald

In order to give you a solution for this migration, we would need to know which 3rd party plugin you are using is adding that barcode field to your site. As WooCommerce has no default barcode field.

    Best Regards,
    Salva.

    Hi there Salva, PickingPal.
It states “PickingPal scans/verifies using barcode values from the native WooCommerce SKU field or the PickingPal “Additional Sku” field(s) of each product or product variation. So, all you need is to make sure that any barcode values generated by YITH are present in one of those fields within the product or product variation.” so yeah not barcode but the SKU field it would seem.

I see. So you want to copy all the values you entered to the ATUM barcode field to the WooCommerce’s SKU field, am I right?

And aren’t you using the SKU field for anything now?
Please note that if we migrate the barcode field there, all the values stored on your actual SKUs will be replaced (if any).
