Base Domain in Facebook Plugin

  • I’ve added a Facebook plugin for comments but when you click on the “Like” Button the following error comes up – “The app ID specified within the “fb:app_id” meta tag is not allowed on this domain. You must setup the Connect Base Domains for your app to be a prefix of https://intelligentrunning.com/?p=122.”
    How or where do I check the Base Domain? Any help appreciated . Thanks

  • Been having the same exact problem for about four days, after the plug-in worked fine for over a year. Have tried at least 10 “Like” button plug-ins, so I know it’s a Facebook issue. Haven’t been able to Google any solutions, so any help would also be appreciated.

    Finally fixed. I removed the plugin, then reuploaded it and filled in both ID and Secret in Facebook PLUS the URL. Not sure if this made the difference but it did finally work.
