base64 encoding – is this standard?

  • in a wp theme that uses optionTree, i noticed that the options are exported/imported in (i think) base64 encoded text

    is this how optionTree works?

    must the options be encoded, or can the options be all in plain text?

  • That would definitely much better as you can’t check what gets exported or imported in base64 – definitely plaintext! otherwise it is more than suspicious
