Basic definitions of Manage/Edit/Assign

    Hi – and sorry for he newbie question… can you give some basic definitions of “Manage,” Edit” and “Assign”? I am creating new roles and want to do it right.

    “Manage” is somewhat synonymous with “Edit” but is generally more associated with broad administrative capabilities. Sometimes a “Manage” capability confers permissions over items which cannot be individually restricted.

    “Assign” is used primarily for the assignment of terms (categories, tags, etc.) to posts or pages.
