I installed the Basic Google Maps Placemarks v1.5 plugin with no errors appearing. On activation of the plugin, it created the following fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_theme_support() in /nfs/c04/h05/mnt/67513/domains/mywebsitehere.com/html/wp-content/plugins/basic-google-maps-placemarks/core.php on line 178

This knocked out the admin and the website. Had to delete plugin manually.

Hi, sorry about that, but thanks for letting me know. The plugin requires WordPress 3.1 now, but the code and documentation were never updated to reflect that fact.

I’ve updated them now, so you should just get an error message if you try to activate version 1.5.1. It won’t break anything, though.

If you upgrade to WP 3.1 or later it should work fine.
