• I am new to WordPress and am using IAMWW w2 DnD theme (if that makes any difference? not sure). In the About Me section, I have written three paragraphs. When i view them in the admin area, it’s formatted fine – I have breaks between paragraphs. When i view it on my page as others will see it, it runs together into one long paragraph.

I’ve tried using standard html for paragraph ie <> and p in the middle, but it wont ‘stick’. when i go back to view it, the formatting has disappeared. I am using firefox but i’m on a pc not an apple and any reading i’ve done on the forum about formatting issues say it is most likely a wordpress issue not a browser issue – however… i’ve never used the www.ads-software.com where i have to know css and such – i’ve only used wordpress.com where its all done for me. so i’m thinking it might be something I’m doing wrong.

any help is welcome. thanks in advance

sorry to ask – have you done this in the code editor of wp or the view editor?

html gets jacked in wp either way, but that does not devalidate my first question. Moving on.. Use RAW-HTML to let you actually code in wp code editor.

Wait. Laugh, yes code editor jacks code, laugh, install raw-html, move on ??

thanks for such a quick response. i’m not doing this in either view. i’m doing this in the profile area of my wordpress. the ‘about me’ section in biographical info box. same page as new password info.

still hoping for someone to know how to fix this?

I only use the wordpress installed app, not the free version hosted on their server. In the type I use it has html and visual editors when you go to edit a page.

I’m having this same issue. When I go to Users > Authors & Users > and then click on my username, I am trying to fill in the Biographical Info box where it says, “Share a little biographical information to fill out your profile. This may be shown publicly.”

The problem is that if I try to divide my text into paragraphs, they aren’t sticking. I can see in the admin that the paragraphs are there, but out on the website, it gets displayed as all one paragraph. Looking at the source code, I see that there is indeed one <p> at the beginning and one </p> at the end – nothing in between where I added line breaks.

Is there a way to fix this?

I am desperate for a fix on this, as well. Anyone?
