This plugin implements PayPal Plus, a service from PayPal specifically for German merchants. So most features would not work if your business is located in France.
In this case, PayPal Payments is the recommended integration: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-paypal-payments/
The new plugin comes with the latest features, including Pay Later offers for French buyers, so I suggest trying it out.
