Really basic question, but I’m totally dyslexic by this logic apparently.

In the Dashboard > Settings > Indexing (tab) > Indexing Options > Post Types section we have Type, Index and Excluded from search? columns.

Checking an item in the “Index” column that has a “no” in the “Excluded from search?” column means I “DO” want it excluded from search, or I “DO NOT” want it excluded from search?

Don’t mind the “Excluded from search” column. It’s just for information: it shows how WordPress considers that post type. If the column says “no”, it means the post type is set up as available for searching, and if it says “yes”, whoever registered that post type thinks it shouldn’t be searched. That doesn’t stop Relevanssi from searching it, it just makes life a bit more complicated. But generally you usually only want to index the post types that have “no” in that column.

Whichever post types you check, those are included in the Relevanssi index. If you want something excluded, you don’t check the box.
