Basic use of the interface. I Need Your Help Please

Hello.
I used to work with HTML. I built web pages using it.
My pages include text, images, links and adsense ads code.
Where do I insert the code in the wordpress interface, and into which file?

Can I do it with the text editor. I tried and it didn’t work. Did I do something wrong?

Is there a guide or any explanation about it?
