Basics of Adsense?

    Can anyone sort of guide me on how to enable Adsense?
    I’m a bit lost.

    So far, I’ve linked the adsense account to the analytics on my wordpress dash. I generated the code from the adsense account and pasted into a text widget on my sidebar, but I’m not seeing anything.

    However, I am getting a big white ad on my left side and a video ad on the bottom right corner….

    Any help? Thanks

    Hello barbellfocus,

    it can take a while until the ads will be visible. Google has to first crawl your site properly until ads will be delivered.

    Forgive my ignorance, but does that mean I should just leave the ad code in the text widget and just wait?

    if you are sure that you have implemented the code properly and if everything is fine with your adsense account, yes, then you can only wait.

    It is also possible that Google doesn’t display ads if they have no ads available for your topic or if the content is low quality. But I suggest you might want to open a thread at the Google support forum to ask your question there. I think the experts there can explain it better or find the solution why your ads aren’t displayed yet. ??
