Basketball Head-to-Head

  • Hello guys,

    I’m hosting a german basketball website and have the problem, that the table works incorrect in one aspect: After win percentage the next grade shall be the head-to-head comparison. But I don’t find any tool to make this possible in the settings.

    For example: Two teams have the same win percentage (.714). Team 1 has the better point difference, but Team 2 won both matches against the other team. In our league Team 2 would be in front, but in SportsPress it’s Team 1. There are more, more complicated cases, when even three teams have the same win percentage.

    So you want a tie-breaking option, right?

    This is something we’ve got a lot of requests, and we’ll certainly keep this in mind for the future.

    Right now, what you can do is to use the table adjustments to have them in the order you want them to

    I don’t think the tie-breaking is the right thing. If I understand this option right, two teams that have the same win percentage shall play against each other again. But that isn’t it.

    To stay in my example: All season matches are played already. They are equal in winning and losing. Now it is to look at how they have (already) played against each other. Team 2 won both matches against Team 1 – so Team 2 is in front. In another case, if both teams won each one of the matches against each other, than the point difference (against each other, not total) would be the next in line.

    In the table adjustments I can only adjust the aspects that are already counted. I can’t simply draft one team to the place of another. Or can I?
