batch add media files – how to

  • Is there a way to add an image folder from a previous installation of wordpress to a new installation and have the images contained in the folder populate the media library in a batch instead of individually adding each image?

    Am restoring a hacked site and do not want to use the xml file from the previous installation

  • Not that I’m aware of – although you could try looking for a plugin that will help to carry out this task. Otherwise, you just have to re-upload the images via WordPress.
