Batch Categories for WP 2.0

  • Does anyone know if there’s an updated version of the batch categories plugin around (or something similar to it). I’ve been scouring the web and coming up blank. The latest patch seems to be for Wp 1.5.2, but it doesn’t work on WP 2.0

    What I’m talking about is this plugin.

    Okay, so I found an Alternative called Post Control which does the following:

    Supports Versions 1.5+, 2.0+
    Number of viewable posts per page is changeable
    Unpublish individual Posts from PostControl
    multi-unpublish if you need that kind of power
    Add Categories to a post without leaving PostControl. (support for multiple cats coming soon)
    Change the Owner of a post for individual entrees without leaving PostControl.
    Delete individual Posts from PostControl
    multi-delete if you need that kind of power

    Much more powerful than batch categories on its own. ^^

    HOWEVER, it reloads the page everytime a category is changed, and can only change 1 category to 1 category. So am waiting for update or another alternative.

    Lots of people seem to be looking for a batch categories plugin for 2.0 but I can’t actually find one anywhere…

    Anyone else find one yet?

    Hey Rob — is your plugin related to the code I wrote ages ago in any way? I went to check your page and didn’t see anything about it. I know I’ve been in touch with a couple of people about “upgrading” batch categories, and I honestly can’t remember if you were one of them.

    Yep. I said in #wordpress “give me a plugin to write”, you said “port Batch Categories to 2.0+”, I rewrote it, the rest is history. Heh.
