    Hello,

I’d like to know whether it’s possible to batch extend the grace period for users whose 2FA status is inactive or whether it’s only possible to do this on a user-by-user basis.

    Thank you

Hi @delemo, thanks for your question.

At the moment, resetting grace periods can only be performed from the Users screen by another user with appropriate permissions to manage 2FA settings, usually administrators only. We have a development request open for some other work in this area, so could suggest the possibility to bulk-extend the grace period if you wish?

Naturally I wouldn’t be able to provide a timescale or whether this feature would be added, but we do discuss all suggestions that may be beneficial to a wide range of our customers.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

As an addition to the above information @delemo, each role set to “Required” (aside from admin) has a timestamp for when 2FA was set to be required in the wp_wfls_settings table. Setting a user role to “Optional”, saving options, then setting it back to “Required” before saving again does reset that timestamp.

Just be careful not to accidentally set and save “Disabled” on any role as this may affect users who’ve already set up 2FA successfully before the grace period lapsed.

    Thanks again!

    Hello Peter,
    Thank you for your reply.
In my opinion, having the option of extending the grace period globally would make it much easier to manage users.
    Thank you

I will put that use-case forward to our development team as a request @delemo and we appreciate your feedback!

    Peter.
