    Hi,

I need some help, my restores are not working. The restore seems to be doing something in the log, and when its complete it says :: Restore completed successfully. But when i go to the pages, it shows the privacy policy and sample, but none of the imported stuff.

    What could cause this?

PS: The backup was done where i was hosting (Siteground) and im restoring at new host (Bluehost). The NS servers are already resolving, as thought maybe site url was not correct (these are my total guesses as what could be an issue).

    Hello @go-systems

Please check out the following possible causes and the solutions to the issue ‘Content missing after migration or migration not complete’:

Possible Cause1: The backup is not a full website backup(files + database)

Solution: Make sure to choose ‘database + file’ when creating the backup.

Possible Cause2: The website is build with Elementor or Oxygen page builders

Solution: Some themes or page builders (for example, Elementor and Oxygen) have their own migration methods, once the migration is complete, their data need to be regenerated.

Migrate Elementor: Go to WordPress admin dashboard >> Elementor >> Tools >> General >> Regenerate CSS and click on Regenerate Files button and save changes.

Migrate Oxygen: Please follow the instructions in their Importing & Exporting documentation.

Possible Cause 3: It can be a database service problem

Solution: In that case, go to WPvivid settings > Advanced settings > Choose PDO in Database Access Method > Save Changes, then try to perform the migration again.

Possible Cause4: PHP environments are different

Solution: Make sure that the source site and the target site have the same or similar PHP versions

Possible Cause5: Cache, firewall, 301 redirect plugins

Solution: Please temporarily deactivate cache plugins and firewall plugins on the source site, then run migration again.

    All the best,
