bbPress 2.6 Beta Issue

This is a very elegantly written plugin. Very nice job!

There is an issue with bbPress 2.6 beta which some people are using live for the speed improvement.

2.6 is adding some support for pending status on topics and replies. So far, it seems to have added an Approve / Unapprove command link on the Topic/Reply display line. This creates a double set of Unapprove (from 2.6) / Pending (from this plugin) and Approve links. It appears that the built-in commands with 2.6 just change the pending status. I can’t see any interaction with the Discussion settings, nor a way to use pending as a default status.

So, your plugin will likely still be very useful when they ever get around to releasing bbPress 2.6 (I read a beta 3 is just around the corner – but that’s been said before!), but you could add some version checking to your plugin to not display your options if bbPress is 2.6.

And a feature request. When moderating, it would be a better workflow for many moderators to simply read the forum topic displays (instead of opening the backend to see unapproved topics and replies and edit from those lists), and approve or not new topics and replies in the course of reading the forum. This approach works fine for new Topics, but not for unapproved replies, which are hidden until the topic is opened. Ideally, your (Awaiting Moderation) title add-on for topics could be changed to (Replies Pending) if there are unapproved replies. Just a thought.

And you could tweak your readme.txt file to note that the moderation options are now added on the the Settings:Discussion admin menu. Took me forver to find that, even it is totally obvious in retrospect.
