    Yes, but only within the context of BuddyPress groups. If you do not have BuddyPress installed, then no.

    I have BuddyPress installed, but the forums run on bbPress (not BuddyPress groups/forums).

    Will it work with this scenario?

    No.

    The plugin only works for BuddyPress group forums, hence the name of the plugin.
