it could be a theme or plugin issue

Themes

As a test switch to a default theme such as twentytwenty, and see if this fixes.

Plugins

If that doesn’t work, also deactivate all plugins apart from bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

If you cannot do this to your site (say because it is live) then use the ‘troubleshooting’ features of this plugin to let you test without affecting other users

Can you also go to wp-admin > Settings > Style Pack > Plugin Information ( /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbp-style-pack&tab=plugin_info ), scroll down to the raw setting values towards the bottom and copy/paste the row for:

Dashboard Admin
bsp_settings_admin

No values set for: bsp_settings_admin

The site is live – I did disable lots of plugins, but the only time it did it was when I disabled this plugin – I have just reenabled the plugin and there is a small pause between posts/pages in back end loading now – but they are loading, but there is definitely something suspect for the pause (couple of seconds)

health check plugin reports all as good – warns me of an inactive plugin but everything else all good
